about

This EP is about the on-again-off-again-fuck-and-fight relationship the past and present seem to so easily have with each other.

It's my first with lyric-vocals in every song, all of which were at least a few years old, some more than 10. I guess that means these songs have aged or seasoned (or spoiled) more than the ones on other EPs.

They're also twangier, more traditionally structured songs with only 1-2 guitars.

Except for 1 electric guitar in "Walked All Over," they're all the acoustic Alvarez I bought at Alpha Music in Norfolk VA in 1992, although sometimes using some of Garage Band's filter-things. "Down Cellar" is my first/most traditional solo, Lordy.

I lived in 305A with Jeff something like 1999-2002 and then 2002-2005 in 102C with Marla. A mile south from the Ballston Metro. Across the street was Halteh's Pizza, a block away was Fuji & Ravi Kabob (which is the only 1 of the 3 still there).
